As you said, we often do VBS (and many other ministry efforts) because &quot;we&#039;ve always done it that way&quot; and then we pray for God&#039;s blessing after we&#039;ve made our plans.  The post referenced Proverbs 3:5-6, quoting only verse 5 -- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”  Notice what comes next in verse 6 -- &quot;in ALL your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.&quot;  ALL means before, during, and after we do something.</description>
