Heaven Affects Us NOW:
|
Trouble in the World:
Jesus said, "In this world you will have trouble" (Jn. 16:33). Click on the links below to go to resources on types of trouble we may face in this world:
Trouble Doesn't Have to be in the Heart:
- Jesus said, "But take heart! I have overcome the world." (Jn. 16:33)
- Jesus also said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. ... In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you." (Jn. 14:1-2)
A better day is coming. Heaven does sound good about now!
But, Jesus wants to make us overcomers now. He told the Father, "My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one" (Jn. 17:15).
The Heaven: Sounds Good About Now Discussion Guide is a Bible study for small groups or adult Sunday School classes about our future hope. Presenting heaven as the culmination of our love relationship with the Lord, these studies also challenge us to live NOW like we really believe it. When we do, though trouble surrounds us, it can be well in our souls. Why? Because we are trusting in Him.
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you." (Jn. 14:1-2)
