God’s Grace

Share:

The more we grasp the significance of God’s grace, the more we understand its power to make a difference in our own lives, relationships, and ministry. The following acrostic using the word GRACE gives fives aspects of this powerful trait and suggests its implications.

An Acrostic to Help Us Think Through God’s Grace

God

. . . It’s about what God does, not me.  (Rom. 11:6; 1 Cor. 15:10; 2 Cor. 12:9; Eph. 2:8-9)  — So, let’s give Him the credit.

Reaching

. . . It’s about God initiating the reconciliation of people to Himself.  (Jn. 1:14; 2 Cor. 8:9)  — So, let’s first pray for people and then reach out in ministry.

Abounding

. . . It’s about God giving us more than we could ever expect or deserve.  (Jn. 1:16; Rom. 5:17; 2 Cor. 9:8; Eph. 2:7; 1 Tim. 1:14)  — So, let’s let God be God and not limit what He may want to do in and through us.

Caring

. . . It’s about God loving us enough to send Jesus to die in our place as a sacrifice.  (Eph. 1:7; 2 Thess. 2:16)  — So, let’s love others as He loves.

Eternally

. . . It’s about God’s unending, unconditional acceptance of us in Christ Jesus.  (Eph. 1:6; 2 Tim. 1:9; Titus 3:7)  — So, let’s consistently and persistently rely on His grace to see us through.

  1. Without God’s grace we are nothing. God gives us our salvation through His grace. Yes, we have received God as our comforter, and by His grace we are healed. God came into our world as the word in the flesh so that we might know what to do and how to live a godly Christian life. Jesus gives us His caring and unending love as we serve Him. We have nothing without Gods’s grace! Leonard

    • Jessica, ‘D’ is a hard letter to come up with an attribute for God. I understand why you are stuck on that. How about Deliverer? You find that characteristic given to God in verses like Psalm 18:2; 140:7; 144:2.
