God empowers us to serve through the use of spiritual gifts<\/a> (1 Cor. 12:4-11). He prepares us to serve through gifted teachers and leaders (Eph. 4:11-13). He uses our spiritual gifts to help determine our part in the Body of Christ (Eph. 4:16)<\/span>. And, God has given us tools to enable us to wisely and effectively use our gifts in serving.<\/p>\n

Tools God Provides to Equip Us<\/h2>\n

The ministry tools God uses to equip us for serving include the following:<\/p>\n

His Word:<\/strong><\/p>\n

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Cross of Jesus:<\/strong><\/p>\n

May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Heb. 13:20-21)<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross … (Heb. 12:2-3)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever … (Jn. 14:16-18)<\/span><\/p>\n

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (Jn. 14:26)<\/span><\/p>\n
