How Do We Communicate the Gospel Message<\/h2>\n

Read through the New Testament and you will find a variety of means used in communicating the Gospel Message.<\/p>\n

Matt. 28:18-20 – teach<\/div>\n
How? — “go and make disciples of all nations”<\/div>\n
Acts 1:8 – witness<\/div>\n
How? — “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you”<\/div>\n
2 Cor. 5:11-13 – persuade<\/div>\n
How? — “not trying to commend ourselves to you” “For Christ’s love compels us”<\/div>\n
2 Cor. 5:19-20 – appeal to<\/div>\n
How? — “as though God were making his appeal through us”<\/div>\n
2 Cor. 5:20 – implore<\/div>\n
How? — “on Christ’s behalf”<\/div>\n
2 Tim. 1:8 – testify<\/div>\n
How? — “do not be ashamed”<\/div>\n
2 Tim. 4:2-5 – preach, correct, rebuke, encourage<\/div>\n
How? — “with great patience and careful instruction”<\/div>\n

The Conclusion about Communicating the Gospel Message:<\/h2>\n

That the Good News of Jesus Christ must get verbally communicated is a given. The means by which it gets communicated is the variable. We must never lose sight of the message.<\/p>\n

  • The Gospel must remain central and not be lost in the process of trying to be relevant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • The Gospel must remain intact and not be watered down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      When the Apostle Paul said “I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some” (1 Cor. 9:19-23)<\/span> notice what he adapted. He said “I” have become all things, not the message. He used “all possible MEANS” but still preached the same Gospel message.<\/p>\n
