While we find many of His priorities throughout Scripture that we can turn into objectives, we&#8217;ll concentrate on that which Jesus identified as the Greatest Commandments since He said, &#8220;All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments&#8221; <span class=\"class2\">(Matt. 22:40).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"class2\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. (Matt. 22:37-39)<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Ministry Objectives That\u00a0 Aim at What Matters Most to God<\/h2>\n<p>If we break down Jesus&#8217; words in <span class=\"class2\">Matthew 22:37-39,<\/span> we can pull out these six objectives for ministry so we aim at what matters most to God.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>We must always make sure we keep God first in ministry, not the ministry itself or the people we serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/loving-god.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Loving God the Top Priority in Your Church?<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/focus-on-god.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ministry About God, Not Us<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/christian-life.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Need to Change Your Thinking about the Christian Life?<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/greatest-purpose.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Our Greatest Purpose in Life Made Clear by Jesus<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Ministry should be about loving God and others, not mere activity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/two-fold-purpose.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A Two-Fold Purpose in Life<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/greatest-is-love.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Greatest of These is Love<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/love-more.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">To Love More &amp;
