But, are we willing to make the commitment?<\/p>\n<p>While such a commitment will take time (the topic of the next post), effective Bible teaching takes more than outwardly doing all the right things.<\/p>\n<h2>The Kind of Commitment Needed for Effective Bible Teaching<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mintools-store.com\/products\/be-attitudes-for-teachers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-24893 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/be-attitudes-325.jpg\" alt=\"Effective Bible Teaching - Commitment Based on Who We Are\" width=\"325\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/be-attitudes-325.jpg 325w, https:\/\/mintools.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/be-attitudes-325-300x204.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 325px) 100vw, 325px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Effective Bible teaching requires that we &#8220;be&#8221; the kind of teacher who makes a difference. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. (Matt. 12:33-34)<\/p>\n<p>You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: &#8220;These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.&#8221; (Matt. 15:7-9)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 25px;\">\n<li>Article: <a href=\"https:\/\/trainbibleteachers.com\/blog\/hypocrisy-is-a-heart-issue.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hypocrisy is a Heart Issue<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Article: <a href=\"https:\/\/trainbibleteachers.com\/blog\/hypocrisy-affects-our-teaching.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hypocrisy Affects Our Teaching<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Effective Bible Teaching Therefore Takes a Divinely Empowered Commitment<\/h2>\n<p>Think about it: Who builds within us the kind of inner qualities, or spiritual fruit, we need to be effective? &#8212; To &#8220;be&#8221; the kind of teacher who makes a difference takes the work of the Holy Spirit <span class=\"class2\">(Gal. 5:22-23).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Effective Bible teachers therefore acknowledge their need for God&#8217;s wisdom and power and submit to and rely on His Spirit. They realize that they can&#8217;t be effective on their own.
