Having a bad day?\u00a0 Praise Him anyway.<\/p>\n

3 Truths to Remember When Struggling to Praise God on Our Bad Days<\/h2>\n

\"Praise<\/a>
\nThe Psalmist praised God for being reliable to him since birth. (See Ps. 71:6.)\u00a0 God will be consistently faithful to us<\/strong><\/em>, unlike our human relationships.\u00a0 We know we should be reliable in our relationships but if we were to be honest, we’d all have to admit that there are times we have fallen short. Not so with God!\u00a0 Even “if we are faithless, he will remain faithful” (2 Tim. 2:13).<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 — If you couldn’t find something to praise Him about today, that should give you a reason!<\/em><\/p>\n

When we have bad days and find it hard to praise God, He understands because He remembers that we are human<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 If we would give each other that same consideration, what a difference it would make in our churches and ministries!\u00a0 God knows us intimately at all stages of our lives and still loves us.\u00a0 He forgives us and has compassion on us “for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust” (Ps. 103:11-14).<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 — Certainly that should give you something to praise about … especially on a bad day!<\/em><\/p>\n

Other people can try to help by providing us with resources and encouragement but any help they can give pales next to the support that comes from the Lord<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 “Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits” (Ps. 103:2).\u00a0 The Psalm goes on to list some of those benefits which include things no human could ever offer you.\u00a0 “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens” (Ps. 68:19).\u00a0 —\u00a0<\/em><\/span>Acknowledge how He is there for you on bad days like none other and you will not be able to help but to start praising Him.<\/em><\/p>\n

What to Remember So You’re Praising God Even on a Bad Day<\/h2>\n

You could be having a bad day for any variety of reasons but the answer remains the same. Remember, God …<\/p>\n

will be faithful to you.<\/p>\n

knows and understands your struggles.<\/p>\n

has resources for you that can make you feel rich even if you are poor, that can make you feel strong even if you are weak, that can give you plenty to praise about!<\/p>\n

And, don’t forget to tell others what He has done.<\/p>\n

I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good.\u00a0 I will praise you in the presence of your saints. \u00a0(Ps. 52:9)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
