Scripture is filled with verses and examples of the power of God<\/a> at work in and through His people. If we grasped hold of even a small part of that power, we, as His Church, could bear much fruit.<\/p>\n

Scripture Pointing to the Power of God<\/h2>\n

Below are three passages from which we can pull out some wonderful truths about God’s power.<\/p>\n

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Eph. 3:20-21)<\/span><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (2 Pet. 1:3)<\/span><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.\u00a0 (Col. 1:10-12)<\/span><\/div>\n

We cannot begin to comprehend all God wants to do in and through the church.\u00a0 To think that an Almighty, infinite, eternal God<\/a> would work through weak, finite beings is mind boggling.\u00a0 Let’s not take it for granted.<\/p>\n
