Your Life: The Picture It Reflects

The Picture Your Life Reflects

When we look into a body of water on a sunny day, we can usually see a reflection of ourselves. In a similar manner, our lives reflect what’s in our hearts, on full display for others to see.

As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. (Prov. 27:19)

What does the picture of your life portray? What does it communicate to others?

The Portrait of Your Life

They say a picture is worth a thousand words so look at your life and ask the following questions:

Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. (1 Jn. 2:6)

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Cor. 3:18)

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (Jn. 10:10)

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Cor. 10:31)

The Objective of Our Lives Having Clear Picture Reflecting Christ

Regardless of how you answered the above questions, your life, like a picture, is visible to the people around you. And, as we’ve noted, a picture is worth a thousand words. What image do people see when they look at you and how does it impact their lives?

The real benefit of a picture that accurately reflects life in Christ comes in what it stirs up within the beholder. Jesus said, “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matt. 5:16). Click on the links below to read more about this:
