Blog and Practicum Comments:

If you leave a comment on a post, your name is publicly listed with your comment but not your e-mail address. The e-mail address is only used in the event we need to clarify anything in your remarks or to let you know a reply has been posted to your comment. We collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Comments may be checked through an automated third-party spam detection service. You may opt-in to saving your name and email address in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain this data: The comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

Blog and Practicum Subscriptions:

If you subscribe to receive e-mail notice of new posts, your address will be used solely for that purpose and not sold or shared with anyone.

How long we retain this data: Your e-mail address will be retained and you will continue to receive e-mails about new posts until or unless you request to have your address removed.

Contact Forms:

The e-mail address provided will only be used to respond to you. It will not be sold or shared with anyone. If you are requesting prayer, your first name only and not your address, will be passed on to our prayer support team. Your e-mail address will not be automatically included in our newsletter database when you use the contact form unless specifically requested by you.

How long we retain this data: Generally this information may be retained for up to a year to have record of correspondence should future responses be needed. If the information is contractual or of an ongoing nature, it may be kept indefinitely.

Newsletter Request:

We do not sell or use your e-mail address for any purpose other than to keep you notified of updates to the site through these newsletters, generally sent once a month.

How long we retain this data: Your e-mail address will be retained and you will continue to receive the newsletters until or unless you request to have your address removed.

Sales Information Acquired in the MinTools-Store:

When you place an order through this site, your e-mail address will be used to update you regarding the status of your order. Neither your e-mail address, phone number, postal address, or credit card information will be sold to or shared with other companies by the Ministry Tools Resource Center. You can read the privacy statement of our credit card payment provider which states commitment to your privacy as well. Ministry Tools Resource Center is not responsible for any inadvertent misuse of your information by them. Our SSL certificate securely encrypts any information that passes from our site to the credit card company.

Periodically, we notify customers, who opt-in to be added to our store mailing list, about new products, specials, and promotions.

How long we retain this data:  We maintain your ordering information indefinitely, unless asked to delete it, to provide order history and make ordering again easier. If you opted-in for store updates and promotions, you will continue to receive these notices until or unless you request to have your address removed.

Opt Out Policy

You are free to opt out of any of the blogs or newsletters you sign up for simply by replying to one of those e-mails with the word “Remove” in the subject line. Your e-mail address will be promptly removed from that database. You may receive a confirmation e-mail that we have removed your e-mail from that list and then will not receive further notices for the blog or newsletter unless you choose to re-subscribe which you can do at any of the subscription forms on the sites.

Exporting or Erasure of Data

Blog Comments & Subscriptions: You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Sales Information from the MinTools-Store: Should you for some reason want the personal data provided when placing an order erased, see contact information below to make your request. An e-mail will be sent to the address provided when the order was placed to confirm your identity. We will then work with our shopping cart processor to have it erased. Normally that information is stored indefinitely to maintain order history and make re-ordering easier for you. The processor’s policy states that such erasures can only be done 180 days after the last order was placed, as is common practice.

If this policy changes in any way, such amendments will be posted on the site in this privacy notice. Since the policy could be subject to change, you may want to check back before providing information if you have concerns.
