God Gives What We Need for Restarts in Ministry

Often when we’re stuck or sluggish in our ministries, we need a restart. — “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead …” (Phil. 3:13)

God gives us the wisdom, power, and grace we need to get beyond where we are to start anew.

Examples of Restarts in Ministry

Feeling unfulfilled in ministry? Perhaps you need to re-examine if you’re using the spiritual gifts God has given you. You may need to push the restart button to serve in ways that better fit His intent for you.

In a rut? If ministry has become a bit lackluster, you may need to push the restart button to refocus and rediscover the joy of serving.

  • Understand God’s desire for you: Ps. 40:1-3; Isa. 40:30-31; Rom. 12:11; 1 Cor. 10:12-13; Rev. 2:3-5
  • Trust in the Lord for renewed strength to break out of your rut and soar again with a new song in your heart.

No matter the issue, God has the wisdom, power, and grace you need for a restart. He truly is a God of new beginnings so “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Prov. 3:5-6).
