How Ready are We?

“And the Lord added daily those who were being saved.”  (Acts 2:47)

If we saw the same kind of church growth through conversions described in Acts 2:47, would we be ready?

»  Would we be ready for the hurting and struggling people who may come into our midst?
Is people helping ministry in place such as counseling, crisis intervention, practical assistance, support groups, etc?
»  Would we be ready for the potential of more and more troubled children in our classrooms?
Are teachers trained to effectively manage the classroom?
»  Would we be ready to take those whom the Lord added to the next step?
Does the Christian Education ministry of the church have spiritual growth opportunities in place to help people become more Christ-like that can be adapted to include new believers?
»  Would we be ready to look after the spiritual welfare of those who come into our midst?
Are a network of shepherds being developed within the church to equip, disciple, or mentor people?

How ready are we for conversion growth?  Let’s remember Jesus’ Parable of the Talents.  Those who faithfully invested what their master gave them received more — “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things” (Matt. 25:14-30).
